Art Outside

In 2014, Art Outside returned to Druid Hill Park for an encore event. Nearly double the number of artists participated and attendance was tremendous as more Baltimoreans wanted to experience the buzz of this arts festival. Back by popular demand, Art Outside will once again be held in Druid Hill Park, and Make Studio is excited to be part of it again after a great event last year. More about the festival here.

Pam Negrin’s work includes embroidery, appliqué, drawing, collage, improvisational quilting, printmaking and sculpture. She is a resident teaching artist with Young Audiences of Maryland and the Maryland State Arts Council. Her residencies transform classrooms into creative and collaborative handwork studios where students learn new skills, express themselves and create something beautiful and inventive together.
As a continuation of Pam's work with several Make Studio artists in the fall of 2014 as part of FreeFall Baltimore, this free workshop is being offered at Towson Arts Collective.

"Pleading the (Perfect) Fifth"

Much like a "perfect fifth” in music, entering our 5th year Make Studio is realizing consonance as an organization that harmoniously brings together the diverse talents of under-recognized artists. But we’re pleading the fifth — we don’t want to tell you anything, we want to show you everything!
Please join us in viewing a special exhibition of works by our program artists at our inaugural “Open Gallery” in our new Schwing Art Center.
